What do I need to run it?

A Mac, or a PC running Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, and a microphone. A USB mic or an audio interface both work, on either computer.

Does Follow Voice need the internet?

No. Speech recognition runs on your own computer, so your recordings and manuscript are never uploaded. The only features that go online are the update check, the optional “Look Up How to Say” word search, and crash reports if you choose to send one.

Which languages does it support?

Follow Voice, script sync, misread detection and captions from speech currently work with English narration. Recording, editing, cleanup, mastering and delivery work in any language.

Which script formats can I open?

Word (.docx), PDF, EPUB, RTF, OpenDocument (.odt), HTML, Markdown, plain text and Fountain. For an old .doc file, save it as .docx first.

Will my audiobook pass ACX?

The ACX preset masters to ACX’s published specs, and Check measures your edit against them with a pass or fail report and the reasons. That catches the technical problems that cause most rejections, but ACX also reviews performance and content, so nobody can promise approval.

What happens when the free trial ends?

You’ll be asked to subscribe to keep using the app. Your recordings and projects are ordinary files on your computer, and they stay yours whether you subscribe or not.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
